Unmarked Vehicle Usage

The usage of unmarked vehicles is strictly locked to Lieutenant and above. At Lieutenant you get the ability to go unmarked, you must wear your normal patrol uniform. Unmarked vehicles are to be used appropriately at all times, ensure you use it for suitable scenarios and cases. There can only be 1 Unmarked vehicle per department in each RTO. The unmarked vehicles are advised to be used for things such as traffic enforcement, disputes, investigations & sting operations and for certain task forces such as gang units or detectives.

Unmarked vehicles should only be earth based colours such as browns, blacks, greys, tans and other suitable colours or colors you would see on the vehicle you are driving on a daily basis.

When operating with a low-profile outfit, you must make sure you are presenting yourselves in a professional way, conduct yourselves and wear things such as suits. For certain scenarios, this may be different. Make sure your outfits do not present any sort of crime or gang signs, labels or writing, make sure it’s all appropriate and suitable for duty. Ensure your outfits have a visible badge, drop-down holsters are allowed. However, on some outfits they don’t look professional and make you stand out. Remember the reason for unmarked usage and low-profile is to stay low-profile, use common sense.
